Safety observations are conducted every day, throughout all sites and the company works with regulators and authorities to advance safety technologies to create the safest possible environment for employees, contractors and visitors.
Gloucester Coal has also developed an innovative safety initiative for those new to mining. The company's industry-awarded, underground training facility for 'cleanskin-miners', equips the next generation of underground miners with necessary skills and risk management practices needed for a lengthy career in mining.
